The Estrellas de Prades project wanted to minimize the environmental impact in order to progress towards a more respectful and sustainable society. To carry out this purpose, innovation plays a key role when it comes to introducing a modernization in the design.
In the construction of this touristic project, the environmental point of view has been taken into consideration within a global perspective.

Xalet de Prades, from its original design to its daily actions, focuses on sustainability and ecology. Below, we present a summary of the tangible data that supports these objectives, based on an environmental study carried out by specialist Architects and Engineers.

Built with sustainable and renewable wood, and manufactured without using fossil fuels, these houses are respectful of the environment.
The structure of wooden houses actively contributes to the environment by absorbing and storing atmospheric CO2.
CONSTRUCTION OF
ECOLOGICAL HOUSES
The wood used in the construction of the houses comes from sustainable forests in Transylvania. Its harsh climatic conditions make the trees grow slowly, which is why its wood is more compact, strong and with very good structural properties.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Wood is a natural insulator, very effective in insulating from cold and heat. This means saving a lot of energy.
In addition to good thermal insulation, wood also has an excellent acoustic insulation function, which is one of the reasons why the stay at the Xalet de Prades is warm, relaxing and calm.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY
In our restaurant, "La Llosa", we offer local gastronomy cooked with KM0 products.
We promote the Circular Economy, by contacting farmers and businesses in Prades.
We use the organic remains to generate homemade compost.

We are each of the decisions we make, therefore we want to let you know that choosing Xalet de Prades is a commitment to a vacation with fewer emissions and sustainable consumption.
Nuestra instalación fotovoltaica de 18,9 kWp está incluida en el Programa de incentivos para el autoconsumo y el almacenamiento de energía renovable, además de la implantación de sistemas térmicos renovables en el sector residencial. , en el marco del Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia, financiado por la Unió Europea – NextGenerationEU.
Acoger-nos en este programa de incentivos y ha permitido recibir el apoyo financiero del 30% del coste del proyecto, en el que producirá aproximadamente 27.992 kWh anuales.
Con la instalación fotovoltaica que consume el 15 % de nuestro consumo eléctrico anual, esto comporta un estado económico y beneficios ambientales, evitando la emisión de 13,15 toneladas de CO₂ equivalentes a una planta de 657 árboles.
